The NextGen Stem Cell Conference
The NextGen Stem Cell Conference, presented by StemCultures, highlights innovative stem cell and translational research applications in a small and intimate setting. The conference strives to bring together the next generation of stem cell scientists enabling the communication of novel and exciting results whilst fostering collaborations. NextGen is aimed at early career investigators, junior faculty members, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students. It is structured in a unique manner to promote and facilitate networking and communication between inter-disciplinary scientists. Cutting-edge technologies and laboratory equipment will also be exhibited by key industry representatives to aid your research. Finally, the NextGen Stem Cell Conference provides opportunities to speak and network with senior leaders and key figures in the field of stem cell research, such as Drs. Sally Temple and Jeffrey Stern, facilitating the formation of new mentorship opportunities, connections, and collaborations.
Some of the topic areas covered by the NextGen Stem Cell Conference include:
- Embryonic stem cell and developmental research
- iPSC and iPSC-derived cell research
- Tissue-specific somatic stem cells
- Stem cell-based therapies
- Regenerative and translational medicine
- Stem cell-based tissue engineering
- Extra-terrestrial stem cell research for astronaut health and terrestrial applications
The 6th Annual NextGen Stem Cell Conference will be held August 2-3, 2018 featuring Dr. Laura De Rosa as keynote speaker. Dr. De Rosa is the lead author on the recently published skin stem cell regenerative medicine paper ‘Regeneration of the entire human epidermis using transgenic stem cells’ published in Nature November 2017.
